I'M NOT A SCAB
by a Wilcox Nurse
- Last night, I had a dream, I went to work, I saw my friends
They called me scab
I saw, so many new nurses all from the mainland, but all they did was have a cell phone gab.
I told them, the patient they fed that was my mother, she said "short of breath" not "chicken nut bread".
Chorus: I thought I was a nurse, not just a number on a time card.
Patients come first, and we must keep them from harm.
HPH should try to walk in my shoes, too late I've worn them out.
- Last night, I had a dream, I was in a movie, called "misery".
Kathy Clark was the nurse.
She said, just wait right here
It's time for your bed-bath, and then, on in walked Dr. Pierce. (could this get worse).
And then I saw Chuck Sted
He was retching, holding a bedpan swearing under his breath.
Chorus
- When I woke up, I was really walking on a picket line,
This beats overtime.
So if, you want nurses back
Call Kathy Clark, giver her our Aloha
Give her the sack (and never come back).
I wish nurses ran the show and all the patients, tell HPH where to go!
